 76-WORD REVIEW [AUG 09]

As the oil supply dries up over the next several decades, gasoline will climb to $20 per gallon. We won’t care, Steiner argues, having largely abandoned our current lifestyle. In its place will be an energy-efficient, eco-friendly world featuring urban-based living, locally-grown produce, and high-speed trains. Although thoroughly researched, it’s a bit too obvious that Steiner wants this vision to come to fruition, perhaps resulting in a bit of tunnel vision, fueled by his utopian desire.
